How does Klamath Farmer's Online Marketplace (KFOM) work?
KFOM is a site where local farmers and ranchers can post their products on a week-to-week basis. Essentially it's a craigslist for local food! Customers can then view what is available and make an order direct from the farmer. All orders are due by Tuesday at 10PM and are picked up at our central pickup location (see map below) Thursday evenings between 5-7PM.
It's all detailed in our Policies & Procedures HERE. You also receive a copy in your email once you register.
How do I use the website?
Step-by-step instructions on how to use this website as a customer: Guide to Buying from KFOM
If you still have issues using the site, please feel free to email with your questions and we will get back to you as soon as possible. This is a new site, so there are still bugs to be worked out. It helps to get feedback when you are having a problem!
Why don't I see anything listed or why are there so few listings?
Since the order deadline is Tuesday night and pickup isn't until Thursday evening, there usually isn't anything posted between those times. Most producers start posting starting Friday and can add listings all the way until the Tuesday cutoff. Monday is typically the day with the most products listed.
How do I pay?
There are 3 ways to pay:
- Cash (EXACT CHANGE)
- EBT/SNAP benefits (aka "food stamps")
You will be paying each producer individually, so if you buy from multiple producers you will be making multiple separate payments.
